How Swipi Makes Photo Cleanup Actually Fun
We turned the chore of cleaning up your photo library into a swipe-based experience that's fast and satisfying.
## The Photo Problem
The average iPhone user has over 5,000 photos. Many of those are duplicates, blurry shots, screenshots you no longer need, or photos you don't even remember taking.
Cleaning them up manually is tedious. You open Photos, scroll through thousands of images, tap each one, decide, delete. It takes forever.
The Swipi Solution
We borrowed the most intuitive gesture in mobile: the swipe. Right to keep, left to delete. It's the same interaction pattern that made dating apps feel effortless - applied to your photo library.
Smart Collections
Swipi doesn't just show you random photos. It intelligently groups them:
- **Large files**: Photos and videos eating up your storage - **Screenshots**: Often temporary and forgettable - **Old photos**: From years ago that you might want to revisit - **Similar photos**: Groups of nearly-identical shots
Daily Random Pick
This is our favorite feature. Every day, Swipi surfaces 15 random photos from your library. It's like a daily dose of nostalgia - photos you forgot you took, moments you forgot you lived.
Some you'll keep. Some you'll delete. But every interaction is a tiny moment of rediscovery.
Privacy by Design
Here's what makes Swipi different from other photo cleaners: everything happens on your device. No photos are uploaded anywhere. No AI cloud processing. Your library stays private, period.
This is possible because Apple's on-device ML frameworks (Vision and Core ML) are powerful enough to handle duplicate detection and image analysis without any server involvement.
